Alaska Boat Rental has the largest and newest fleet of rental boats in the region. We specialize in open sport boats that are ideal for fishing or exploring the Kenai Peninsula. Whether it is our drift boats, the 18 foot Pro V, or the 20 foot Super Pro V, we have the boat for you. All boats are on trailers, so they go where you want to go! If you are looking to rent a powerboat for the Kenai River it’s important that you’ve had previous experience operating a boat on the Kenai River. If you have never done so we strongly encourage you to book a guided fishing trip with us that we will also use as a river and safety orientation course.
All rental equipment is available the evening before your first-day rental and we ask that all equipment be returned by 5:00 PM on the last day of your rental. We are happy to accommodate early pickup and late drop-off if possible but cannot guarantee this until closer to the time of rental

17' Drift Boats
Alaska Boat Rental & Guide Service has two 17′ drift boats capable of carrying 3 anglers plus the rower.
Each drift boat has a 6HP kicker available upon request for an additional charge $50.00 charge per day. The kicker is perfect for getting across Skilak Lake, to the lower Kasilof River pull-out, or from the Tustamena boat launch to the beginning of the upper Kasilof River. If you’re not planning to use the kicker we can remove it to reduce weight.
The Kenai River has a “No Motor Monday” that does not allow you to fish from a vessel with a motor on board. That is the day to take our 17ft drift boat out on the water!

Launch, Retrieve, & Shuttle Available (extra charge)
22' C-Dory
Starting in 2023 – the C-Dory will be ready for check-out and pickup in the water in the Homer marina. Step aboard and go fishing!
The C-Dory 22’ is designed and built to be seaworthy, easily maintained, and affordable to operate. The C-Dory is very well outfitted and is rented with all the gear needed to fish for halibut and other bottom fish.
The C-Dory is great for exploring the coastal waters and going after our world-famous Alaskan Halibut. Personal Anglers are not restricted to the “over and under” restriction as one would with a charter!
The onboard GPS has dozens of productive halibut spots programmed in including Homer, Anchor Point, Deep Creek, Seward, and more – some as few as just 3-4 miles offshore, reachable in just 10-15 minutes! So if you don’t know exactly where to go to catch your halibut we’ll provide you with plenty of options.
The average towing weight is about 3500 lb. boat, motor, trailer, & fuel. This boat will plane comfortably at as little as 9 ~ 10 MPH. Economical cruise ranges from 15 ~ 22 MPH.
